Our babies come in all sizes and shapes. They accomplish developmental milestones at all different rates. Some of them have their first tooth at four months! Other babies do not get that first tooth until after they are one year old! Some of our babies crawl at six months, but others do not crawl until almost one year old or totally skip crawling.
Our babies are unique little individuals. Some of them are “easy babies” and some of them we might call “fussy babies”. Each one has their own little personality.
When it comes to sleep our babies can be very different also. Some of them are “good sleepers” but others act like they do not want to sleep and certainly not for very long time periods.
We want our babies to be one of those “good sleepers”, but how to get your baby sleeping well may be challenging. Maybe you have tried various approaches without success.
“Sleep Training” needs to be taught differently to each baby. It depends on the age of your child, their temperament, the sleep environment, the timing of sleep, and your individual family sleep goals. There is no one size fits all approach to “Sleep Training”.
There are a lot of books on Sleep Training. There are a lot of opinions on the internet about this subject. If you are exhausted, it is hard to sort through all that information and then decide what is going to work for your family.
As a Sleep Consultant, I can assess your baby and situation, explain the various options to reach your family goals. I help you coordinate the timing of sleep with your child’s developmental age. I write an individualized sleep plan for your child and family. Then I coach you daily to help you reach your goals.
