FAQ
To me, CIO, implies to not have a plan but just putting your baby in bed and shutting the door to let them cry.
I do not agree with that.
Sleep is a skill to learn. I prefer to have a plan which helps and supports your child learn the skill of how to go from the awake state to the sleep state without assistance.
Yes, there will be some crying. Some frustration will give each of us the desire to learn a new skill. Your baby will be frustrated that you are now asking the baby to get to sleep without your assistance. Give your baby the respect to express their frustration. Then your baby can begin to work at developing new skills. I do not want to waste any tears. I want to have all tears moving your baby toward learning.

My process with a client:
Go to my website: https://www.gentletouchsleeptime.com/contact-me/
Request a 15 minute “Get Acquainted” call to discuss your sleep situation and which package which be most helpful to you.
Go to: https://www.gentletouchsleeptime.com/sleep-packages/
Choose the package and click on “Buy”. You will then be sent a Paypal invoice.
After you have made the payment to Paypal, you will be sent several forms to fill out:
1. Consultation Contract
2. Family Contract
3. SIDS form
4. Intake form- to answer questions about your sleep situation and what your sleep goals are
After I receive your intake form back, I will review your intake form and then your consult will be scheduled.
During the consult I will talk about sleep as it relates to your child’s developmental age. I will talk about what is working with your sleep situation and what is not working and why. I will discuss the changes we can bring to your situation to improve sleep. I will discuss your sleep goals which you listed on the intake form. We will talk about the possible ways to reach those goals; the benefits and difficulties associated with each method. You will choose which of the options to use to help your child sleep. We will discuss the start date for the sleep plan.
I will send you the personalized sleep plan within 2 days. You will have 24 hours to review the plan and ask any questions. I will ask you to start keeping a sleep log of the times and length of sleep to send to me each day.
We will begin to implement the plan at bedtime of the agreed upon date. The sleep log should be returned to me between 8AM-3PM each day for the 14 days. I will review the sleep log daily and answer email questions. You have unlimited email and/or texting but I will respond no more than 2 times per day. A 15 minute follow-up phone support can be scheduled in advance when you choose.
There will be a reminder 24 hours prior to the ending of the contract to give you opportunity for questions. There will be an email wrap up of the consult. I will give tips to deal with the coming developmental sleep issues.
My goal is your success. I support and coach you to that success.
Consistency is the key to success. If you are following the sleep plan but not seeing improvement after two weeks; I will keep working with you at no extra charge.
Every child is different. Some teaching methods are slower than others. It takes 2-3 weeks to build the new sleep skills your child has learned into a strong habit.
You can read a lot of information and various opinions about how to help children sleep. What worked for someone else’s child, might not work for you.
It is confusing to know what is the best way for your child.
The best part is that a sleep consultant provides a live person to answer your questions and apply the correct help to your child. As a sleep consultant I keep you on track to reach success.
In the first 16 weeks you can set some good habits for your baby to make sleep training much easier. Major sleep development happens at 16 weeks. After 16 weeks your child is capable of learning the skill of getting to sleep without assistance.
Occasionally a child will learn good sleep habits without assistance. Most children need help and guidance in learning the skill of sleep. You are helping your child set life long sleep habits. Make those habits healthy.
I will encourage you to meet the needs of your child. Training would pause for a sick child. We would try to get back on track as quickly as your child is able.

Testimonials
"FROM WAKING UP 3-4 TIMES PER NIGHT TO SLEEPING 11 HOURS!
When our 8 month old daughter, Claire, was still waking up 3 to 4 times a night, we knew we needed help. Thankfully, we contacted Arlene at Gentle Touch Sleep Time, who not only developed a detailed sleep plan for us, but shared some small changes we could implement during the day to help with night time sleep. We followed the plan and made the changes to our baby's schedule, while Arlene emailed us daily with suggestions and support. Her insight and experience were invaluable. By the end of the first week, Claire was only waking once, and by the end of the second week, she was sleeping 11 straight hours! I highly recommend purchasing a package today. You deserve a good nights sleep, and so does your baby."

"He is sleeping so much better now and is way happier than ever!
5 month old who had been sleeping in the swing:
Thank you again, Arlene, for helping me with my son, he is sleeping so much better now and is way happier than ever! He actually doesn't even whine anymore when I put him down. He will talk, and play with his feet, and I've noticed that he will Squish his nose and face against the bed to put himself to sleep.
"As a family we are all sleeping so much better now and it is all thanks to Arlene.
9 month old:
Working with Arlene was such a wonderful experience, she is very knowledgable and showed so much patience and support while we were trying to establish better sleep habits for our 9-month old daughter. The sleep plan Arlene prescribed was reasonable and easy to follow and after two weeks our daughter went from waking up 2-3 times a night to sleeping from 6:00pm to 7:00am the next morning. We cannot thank Arlene enough for her insight and guiding us through this process.

"Your guidance will be worth every penny!
6 month old:
Mina is very happy! My husband and I are VERY happy! I feel like I have gotten my life back; I have the energy to read, make dinner, and talk to my husband about things other than sleep :). We are much more relaxed. It was challenging to let her cry at the beginning, but there is a lot less crying and a lot more sleeping happening now for ALL of us. I hope we can keep up the sleep momentum; if not, I know who to call!
